Forestry: Chipping at Landmarc landscape engineering and conservation
Chipping

Chipping is the conversion of solid timber (up to 10” diameter) and scrub into small woodchips.

The material is cut and fed through chipping equipment either by hand or crane. The residue can be left to degrade naturally or removed from site, although modern heating systems can use these chippings as fuel.
